Autumn/Winter 2018

As the weather turns cold and the nights draw in, the leaves turn from their summer shades of green to golden yellows and browns. We pack away our short-sleeved t-shirts and linen trousers to hibernate for the winter replacing them with our cosy woollens, hats, gloves and scarves.

But there’s no need to shed a tear as you pack away your floral summer dresses or your light spring breeze cardigans as this year we are very pleased to present our Autumn/Winter range. In a slight departure from our usual 100% wool fabrics, this year we have widened our range and introduced some new (but still mostly natural) fibres to take your autumn/winter wardrobe to the next level.

COMFORT

We at House of Bluebell keep three very simple things in mind when we’re thinking about what to wear - comfort, style, luxury. Embrace comfort this season with our new range of t-shirts. Currently available in black, white and grey, these are the perfect basic garments to go with any outfit. Whether you’re dressing down a suit, dressing up a skirt, or just looking for something comfortable to lounge around the house in, these 100% cotton t-shirts are a must have for every stylish lady.

STYLE

When we think of style we think of versatility. What use is a garment that can only be worn in one particular outfit (obviously except for things like tuxedos or ball gowns)? So, we are always careful to keep in mind styling choices of every garment. Bouclé is the perfect fabric for a versatile garment because it can so easily be dressed up or down. Pairing our bouclé jacket with the matching skirt is an easy way to look smart and sophisticated on any occasion and then pair the jacket with a pair of dark wash jeans for a relaxed, stylish outing with friends. We’ve paired it here with our new range of trousers and skirts in a gorgeously soft grey wool twill fabric - all lined in the silkiest cupro (a really interesting form of cotton) - which are the ideal garments to add style to any ensemble.

LUXURY

Who doesn’t love a little luxury? We certainly do. Fun fact: we tested over 40 kinds of faux fur to find the softest, most realistic fabric we could, and we aren’t kidding when we say this fabric feels like a liquid. Now we do normally insist on using natural fibres where possible, but we’ve decided to make an exception when it comes to our faux-fur and our faux suede this season - but we’ll explain that decision another time. Possibly one of our favourite garments from this collection is our pink hounds tooth poncho (faux-fur trimmed) and we’re sure everyone else will love it too, judging by the adoring looks on all our models as Andrea strutted her stuff down our catwalk.
